What is basket tagging?
You are allowed to pick out your hanging baskets for the season at the beginning of the season, and then pick them up by Memorial Day.
What is the purpose of basket tagging?
The tagging system allows customers to pick baskets early on in our season, but keep them with us until the bad Southeast Idaho weather is good enough to keep them safely outdoors.
What if I want to tag multiple baskets and then only pick a few from the ones I tagged to purchase? Is this allowed?
No. We will not allow this. Please only tag the baskets you intend on purchasing.
What if I see a basket I love but it already has a tag on it? Can I take the tag off and replace it with my name tag?
Absolutely not. We have a zero-tolerance policy for this at Riverside Greenhouse. If caught doing this, we will kindly ask you to take your business elsewhere.
Why are your gates shut from June 15th-May 1st?
We are a seasonal business. Our doors are open for business from the beginning of May until the middle of June.
Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes! We are pleased to offer online gift certificate purchasing. The recipient will receive an automatic email with the gift card which they can then present to us when purchasing plants.
Do you sell shrubs and trees?
No. We specialize in hanging baskets and containers. We also grow high-quality bedding plants and vegetables.
How often should I fertilize my hanging baskets and containers?
We fertilize every day. We realize that time and cost play a factor in how often you will fertilize at home. 3 times a week is optimal. To see how to properly fertilize your hanging baskets and containers, please visit our All About Hanging Baskets page.
How often should I water my hanging baskets and containers?
Watering should happen daily. If the weather is unusually hot or your basket is in direct sun, we highly recommend watering twice day. Please visit our All About Hanging Baskets page for our how-to video.
Do you carry bark?
Yes. We carry bark in bulk. It comes in 1 yard increments. How much does this cover? This covers a 10'x12' area 2" deep. We carry medium natural and a dyed bark (more dark brown than the medium natural).
